Field of Black-Eyed Susans: Family Portrait

Shadowlands Photography is proud to be a supporter of a variety of social justice and community organizations in Fort Wayne, Indiana.  Whether it's through donating our time to groups directly such as Healthier Moms & Babies or NILMDTS or through donating items for silent auctions to groups such as The Salvation Army...or in the case of this particular session winner...the 1st Annual Batters & Bidders Picnic Auction in 2010, which benefitted the Boys and Girls Club of Fort Wayne.

Monica and her sweet family have a wonderful farm property which had a fully-bloomed black-eyed susan field of flowers in which for us to do their outdoor family portrait session.  And, even though it was one of those miserable one hundred and seven degree days, we had lots of fun creating these shots.

What a beautiful family!

Brandon, Cat and the Whole Fam

It had to be the warmest Indiana December day I've EVER shot outside...New Year's Eve and we were outside without coats on (seriously, it was 60 degrees!).  Downtown was hopping with weddings so we had to be flexible in our hunt for the perfect spot to shoot.  I think we found a perfect spot!

By the way, I also had the pleasure of photographing Brandon and Cat's growing family in November 2009 as well.

Outdoor Family Photos: Tim, Amber, Katelyn and Owen

Hands down...this is one of the coolest, most loving and most laid back families on earth.  I loved every minute of this family photo session.  Little Kate and Owen started out kinda camera-shy, but by the end of it, I had Owen running full speed chasing me down a jogging path.  : )  I love photographing kids because it's a great excuse for me to act like one too!!!
