New Haven High School Senior: Logan

You just never know what the weather will be doing in April in Indiana.  Rain?  Snow?  Hot and humid?  When I met up with Logan at New Haven High School (home of the Bulldogs), we were pleasantly surprised by a perfect break in the current monsoon season we're having.  Logan was totally laid back and great to work with!  I just love this closeup of his eyes (he's a catcher for the baseball team if you hadn't already guessed).

I was SO excited to be voted as a winner in the 2010 Fort Wayne Readers' Choice Best Of Contest!  And, I can't believe it but it's already that time of year again!  Please nominate Shadowlands Photography for Best Photography Studio  in the 2011 Fort Wayne Newspapers' Readers' Choice Best Of Contest!  The Official Nominees will be announced May 27th in the The News-Sentinel and The Journal Gazette.

Miss Fort Wayne Winners!

Congratulations to the 2011 Titleholders Miss Fort Wayne Jessica Leedy and Miss Fort Wayne's Outstanding Teen Ashley Zeiner!

The Miss Fort Wayne Scholarship Organization is a local preliminary program which is part of the prestigious Miss America Organization.  Each year they hold a pageant to award scholarship money and the local title of Miss Fort Wayne to a deserving young woman in the Fort Wayne community.  She then proceeds on to compete for the title of Miss Indiana, the winner of which then advances to the prestigious Miss America Pageant.  The new Miss America's Outstanding Teen program allows the MFWSO to also crown a deserving teen at our local level with the title of Miss Fort Wayne's Outstanding Teen.  The MFWSO is a volunteer-run, non-for-profit, scholarship program strives to help young women reach their academic and personal goals while becoming community service advocates and role models in their community.

Healthier Moms and Babies

Healthier Moms and Babies is a perinatal outreach project whose goal is to improve the outcome of pregnancy and reduce infant mortality by providing health education and case management to at-risk families.  I have the honor of providing pro-bono photography to this Fort Wayne non-profit group a few times a year.  Enjoy these photos from our March session!
