Introducing Our 2012 High School Interns!

I am so excited to introduce our new high school interns!  We have two this year and guess what, by some funny twist of fate--they are both named Samantha.  (And, my cockapoo's name is Sammy too btw, LOL--I guess I have some mysteriously divine need for multiple Sams in my life right now.)  : )

Sam (pictured above, on right) is currently a senior at Concordia Lutheran High School. She is not really sure what the plans after high school are for her yet. What she hopes to gain from working as an intern at Shadowlands Photography  is some clarity on what she wants to do with her life (no pressure on me though, right?!?). She is looking forward to seeing what I do in my everyday life with my photography and business. She has been thinking about making a career in photography herself and would like to see if it's something she could do. She would also like to learn more about photography and the business behind it, because it is something that she loves. She is looking forward to seeing what God has in store for her!

Sammy is currently a senior at Carroll High School involved in year-round swimming, Interact Club, and Graphic Design Club. After graduation, Sammy intends to major in graphic communications. She is excited to learn how Shadowlands works both in front and behind the camera, including the marketing strategies and image editing involved in a successful business.

Today was their first day and already we are talking about launching a whole new Web site, Shadowlands on Twitter, and some other VERY exciting new things that I will share as soon as the time is right!  : )  May God bless our year together and may be all grow from the experience!  You girls are WONDERFUL and I'm so happy to have you be part of the Shadowlands journey this year.
