A high school intern has just joined Shadowlands Photography for nine months of "photography boot camp" here in Fort Wayne, Indiana. "I've had a camera in my hands as long as I can remember," says Erin Butler of Concordia Lutheran High School. When she first expressed interest in photography, her parents bought her a beloved Barbie camera. She's more tech-savvy these days, thanks partly to her Photoshop-wizard father. "I am an aspiring photo-journalist and I am so excited about all that I will learn during my internship," she says.
Erin's second passion in life is riding. She has been riding horses since she was one year old at Orchard Creek Stables.
This coming June, Erin will graduate Concordia Lutheran High School, where she has taken so many photography classes that the school actually developed a double advanced photography class for her to continue her pursuits of mastering photography.
At Shadowlands Photography, she hopes for a chance to learn more about lighting and the “business side” of running a photography company. Erin – may you realize just how powerful you are. Let your light shine!
