Big Sky Country Wedding: Justin + Rose
How could I resist saying yes when Justin and Rose asked me to travel to the tiny town of Power, Montana to photograph their wedding? Montana (aka Big Sky Country) is the kind of place that just stops you in your tracks and forces you to acknowledge its great and vast beauty. Power is a city seemingly locked in "the good ole days"...where there is little distinction between friends and family...where everyone is welcome and where strangers never go unnoticed. I was definitely the big city stranger in town. : ) Lol! I loved spending time with the residents of Power. Peace and calm abound there!
The wedding day had a bright and playful peacock theme infused through every decorative detail! And My Viola Floral Studio did a fabulous job with the fun floral arrangements.
Justin (now a Pastor - at the church above), my husband Chad (above) and I have been great friends since 1994 when we met in college at Spring Arbor University. It was so WONDERFUL to be able to be with Justin on his wedding day and to see him with the love of his life...beautiful and sweet Rose.
The ceremony took place at Trinity Lutheran Church in Great Falls, MT (where Justin happens to currently be serving as a Interim Pastor in addition to his home church in Power, MT).
After the ceremony and the bubble exit, we stopped at the super cool Paris Gibson Square Museum of Art.
The reception was held at the quaint town hall in Power, MT. Rose and her family did a fantastic job of decorating the hall. I must have had at least a dozen residents of Power tell me they'd never seen the hall look so amazing!
